20 Month Update

Londyn is 20 months old! In 4 months she’ll be TWO! What!!!

I can’t handle how grown up she is lately and how smart she is becoming & learning so much every single day.

Her new “trick” she learned is telling us & friends her name. We will ask what her name is and she was say Londyn Parks in the sweetest voice and I love the way she says it! She will sometimes get shy and not say it if we are in front of a lot of people.

She amazes us daily with how much she knows and things she says and does. She makes us laugh non stop & sometimes drives us crazy 😉 she is such a little angel baby with sass. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for or (or take it).

She loves to read books. All day long. Books books books. She loves reading the same book 5x in a row. She likes to read to duke and her babies but most of the time she wants mama and dada to read to her. She’s our little bookworm.

She talks all day and repeats everything we say. But then we get in a big group and she is so shy. It’s so surprising to us because she is a chatter box at home with us. She eventually opens up and starts to show her personality.

I love watching her play. She talks to all her dolls, loves to change their diapers (10x a day). She loves to play blocks. She gets her blocks out multiple times a day & if i try to clean them up she doesn’t like it. She is starting to get into girly things. She likes necklaces and bracelets. She loves trying on my shoes and walking around. She also likes putting on her own shoes all by herself. Most of the time she gets them on the right feet.

She is still loving Moana and Shrek. We watch both daily. I should say we start to watch both daily. She is usually too busy to sit and watch the entire movie. But she requests they be on, even just in the background. And now her latest obsession is Winnie The Pooh. Which I’m okay with cause i grew up loving Pooh!

We have been loving going to the zoo and the pool and enjoying the summer. She loves the animals & she can name most of them and knows their noises. Elephants and Giraffes are her favorites at the moment. She also has been interested in BUGS… this girl is very brave ha! I was never a kid that liked playing in the dirt or bugs. She definitely is a dare devil. She will play outside with Daddy or Papa and she will hold the bug or dig in the dirt.

She has been the sweetest little girl. At bedtime we will read books and she will always ask for “one more” and then when she knows it’s time for bed she has been asking me to rock her and then she started asking me to sing to her. And I couldn’t handle how sweet it is when she asks me to sing to her. When i sing twinkle twinkle she will start to sing and say a few of the main parts. She will say “twinkle” and “up above”. She will also sometimes sing along with the Moana songs. I love when she sings. It’s the sweetest sound.

Londyn has been refusing to go to gym daycare. It’s probably been a month since she would go. She has one incident where she cried when mitch dropped her off and now she refuses to go back. I’m hoping it’s just a phase she will get through soon (cause mama needs to get to the gym again). I will ask her if she wants to go to daycare and play with the other kids and she says no, she wants to play with mama. She was going so great and loved going and I’m hoping she will go back soon!

Today, Londyn went pee on the potty for the first time! Our doctor recommended moving the potty into her bathroom and to talk about the potty during bath time, while the water is running. So I got her undressed and she sat on her potty & I told her if she needed to go pee she should go pee on the potty. And she stood up and there was pee in the potty! I was so excited,ha! She then reached in and touched it. But i was still so proud of her!

Londyn also had a naughty moment and said her first bad word. She learned it from hearing Daddy say it (& she even ratted him out for it) She said “Damn It”. Clear as day. When we asked where she learned that word she said Daddy. We both couldn’t stop laughing cause she was so confident in it and didn’t hesitate. We tried to explain that’s a bad word and babies don’t say that and she then said that Daddy needed to go to timeout. I guess it’s good she knows time-out is for naughty things and even Daddy has to go sometimes. 😉

Here are some pictures from our last couple months.
