Layton 4 month update

Little miss smiley is 4 months old! It’s really hard to believe time has flown & she isn’t a newborn anymore. It really is sad since she is most likely my last baby and I’m trying to soak up all the little baby moments. She really is our little sweet potato pie (one of her many nicknames) she is so sweet, so cuddly and overall a happy happy baby!

We call her our chunky baby but actually at her 4 month appointment she wasn’t gaining as much as she should be and the doctor thinks it’s probably my supply starting to dwindle down. So we are now supplementing with a bottle after every feed to make sure she is getting enough. She is finally starting to take a bottle pretty well from me, Mitch or my parents! Which is a weight off my shoulders since i am leaving her for a few days next month!

She is so chatty and talkative. She screams and makes so much noise. It’s like she is saying “pay attention to me!” Haha poor second child problems 😉 she is always so happy unless she is tired & hungry and smiles so big at everyone! She is laughing especially when we do silly things! She is loving her jumper toy! We have two, one for inside & one that is made for outdoors/beach and she is loving them cause she can play and also watch big sister play! She has rolled over both ways a few times even tho she still hates tummy time and rather be held! She loves to stand up and when she lays down lifts up her head like she wants to sit up! Can’t wait till she can sit up and play even more with big sissy! She has started solids. She has only tried rice cereal so far & seemed to love it and kept licking her lips! Can’t wait to try more! I may even attempt to make our own baby food.. wish me luck 😉 she was sleeping through the night so well & we have now hit the 4 month sleep regression! It’s brutal and we are trying a few things to get her to sleep all night again!

We are starting to get out a little more & have been to playdates and made a few zoo trips! Finally starting to feel a little more normal and more people are getting to meet & see baby! Mitch and I left her with my parents for the first time while we celebrated our 6th anniversary! It was definitely much easier than leaving baby #1 but still raced home to be with her!
