Gender/Name: Girl!! We have a name! Layton Blake Parks.

Weight gain: 30ish lbs

Maternity clothes: Over them, been buying new “post baby” mom clothes cause Im ready for jeans and cute outfits again.

Sleep: On and off. Woke up 2 times now in pain… not contractions but baby must of been on a nerve or my body just preparing for labor. Luckily it goes away but it’s hard to get back to sleep.

Best moment this week: In the last month we’ve been busy getting ready for baby! Organizing and cleaning the house. We also celebrated baby girl with two sprinkles! The Greenwood Village wives threw me a small little get together to celebrate baby girl and it was so fun to see the girls. Then my mom threw me a sprinkle for close family and friends which was so special to keep it small and celebrate baby girl. We got spoiled and now are set on diapers and wipes for a while!

Miss anything: SUSHI! Ready for all the sushi and wine!

Movement: Tons of movement!! Almost gets uncomfortable at times.

Cravings: Nothing specific

Queasy or sick: Feel pretty good

Current Mood: Happy – according to Mitch, moody.

34 Week Baby Update

How far along: 34 Weeks

Gender/Name: Girl!! We have a name! Layton Blake Parks.

Weight gain: I feel like I have gained as much this time so far as I did with Londyn… and I still have 6 weeks left! Ready to get back to the gym 😉

Maternity clothes: Leggings is all I ever wear. Jeans are so uncomfortable & its too cold for anything else. Luckily I have the luxury of being able to wear leggings all the time.

Sleep: On and off. Been better lately.

Best moment this week: It’s been a while since my last post. We had a busy holiday season! So fun enjoying the holidays with Londyn. She totally understand Santa & loves all things Christmas! She still asks to read Christmas books or watch the Grinch (Her favorite xmas movie). We also celebrated Londyn’s 3RD BIRTHDAY! It was a fun party taking all her friends to the movies to see the new FROZEN 2 movie. She loved wearing a princess dress and having all her friends there! I’ve been slacking on these posts but mainly cause we were so busy with the holidays & getting back into the groove of school and routine.

Londyn had her first performance at school for Christmas. She did so good! She didn’t sing much but she didn’t cry (which a lot of kids were crying) and she waved to mommy when she saw me! It was such a special thing to get to go to and Mitch, Gigi & Grandma all go to come watch too.

Miss anything: Wearing normal clothes. I am ready for normal jeans and normal shirts. Cute outfits. Also, miss sushi, lunch meat, wine. Im so close to the end I can taste that wine already 😉

Movement: Tons of movement! She does BIG movements like she’s doing somersaults but is out of room cause it HURTS. She’s been in my ribs and in my hip. Curious what position she’s in.. We have an ultrasound in 2 weeks to find out if she is breech or head down. Both my mom & Mitch have felt baby move now. Its fun when other people can feel her too. I have tried to get Londyn to feel but her patience and attention span are too short to sit and wait.

Cravings: Milk.. very random cause I’m not a big milk drinker. But every night before bed I have been craving a large glass of milk. And this past weekend I had a craving for Chocolate Milk.

Queasy or sick: Feel pretty good

Current Mood: Happy – Moods have been better!

Belly Button in or out: Flat

Looking forward to:  Setting up more of the baby things. Her nursery is basically done, we just need to hang a few things & finish baby laundry. We got a double stroller, got out the swing, rocker, pack n play. So setting up all those in the next few weeks will be fun!        Also, looking forward to the next two weekends I have two sprinkles to celebrate baby girl! One this weekend with the Greenwood Village cop wives – a few friends are throwing me a small sprinkle to get together and celebrate baby girl. Then the following weekend my mom is having a small sprinkle for a few family members and close friends! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating baby girl!

Sharing some photos from the last few months/holidays.

Week 25 Bump Update

How far along: 25 Weeks

Gender/Name: Girl!! We have a name! Layton Blake Parks. We have liked this name since I was pregnant with Londyn. We actually went to the hospital with both names Londyn & Layton and said we would see what she looked like when she came out and we chose Londyn. So now that we are having another baby girl we still love the name Layton. We chose Blake for the middle name because we have always liked Blake for a first name but we have close friends with a daughter named Blakely so we decided to use it as a middle name!

Funny Story, we decided to tell Londyn her name so she could start getting use to hearing it and put a name to a “thing”.. aka a new person coming into our life.  We told her, she didn’t really seem to care and went back to playing. The next day we go to Papa & Gigi’s and my dad says.. “Londyn what is baby sisters name” and without hesitation she says “Layton!”. We weren’t against telling people but just funny how she didn’t even hesitate! So we have told quite a few of our family and friends! We didn’t want the opinions but everyone has kept their opinions to themselves so far.

Weight gain: Yes, feels like a lot but not sure of a number. Feeling large

Maternity clothes: lots of leggings

Sleep: On and off.

Best moment this week: It’s been 5 weeks since my last post so a lot of fun things have gone on. We had our best friend/auntie visit, celebrated Halloween and did some fall activities. Londyn got a big girl bed & has been doing great! We moved the crib into the nursery so it is starting to feel like a baby room & I like to spend a lot of time in there. I will organize clothes, rearrange things. Nesting has started. I remember doing the same thing with Londyns nursery. It makes it all so real and she’s going to be here before we know it! (100 days to go)

Miss anything: Sushi, Ahi Tuna

Movement: Tons of movement! She likes to play kickball around 3am. She is a wiggly worm. Which I love. I get obsessive about counting kicks.

Cravings: Nothing specific right now, spicy things and carbs still.

Queasy or sick: Feel pretty good

Current Mood: Moody

Belly Button in or out: In. getting flat

Looking forward to:  Mini Babymoon this weekend! We got a last minute hotel in Breck so Mitch and I will be getting some alone, relaxing time away! Londyn will spend the night with Papa & Gigi! Also looking forward to Londyn’s Birthday and the HOLIDAYS!! We have a busy few months coming up so February will be here in no time! Can’t Wait!

20 Week Bump Update

How far along: 20 Weeks

Gender/Name: Girl!! We had a mini gender reveal for Londyn and our parents! Everyone thought Boy so it was fun to surprise them. We are a GIRL FAMILY! And I couldn’t be more excited for all the girly things! And mostly for Londyn to have a sister. We do have a name and if you ask Londyn she will gladly tell you. We want to try and keep it to ourselves as much as possible mainly because we don’t want opinions or comments. My dad asked Londyn “What is baby sisters name” and without hesitation she told him. Both my parents said they liked the name! We told Londyn because we wanted her to get use to the name and one less thing that will be new when baby sister comes.

VoR%SodXQWuVCHfiaGC3PQ

Weight gain: Hard to say.. Eating non-stop!

Maternity clothes: some, wearing maternity leggings because they are the most comfortable.

Sleep: On and off.

Best moment this week: Londyn has been sick on & off the last week so we have had some lazy days & trying to get her over being sick. A fun moment was Londyn’s first dance class! She didn’t love it right away and I had to sit with her. But once they brought out the pom poms she wanted to join the class. Hoping she will enjoy it next week better.

Miss anything: Sushi, Ahi Tuna

Movement: Tons of movement! In the last few days I’ve felt baby girl a lot! Mainly right before bed and if I have a sugar snack she really moves around. I am loving it & look forward to feeling her more and more!

Cravings: spicy! Jalapeño Burgers.

Queasy or sick: Have to eat first thing when I wake up or I feel nauseas until I eat.

Current Mood: Moody

Belly Button in or out: In.

Looking forward to:  Finishing Nursery & Big girl room. We have started the nursery and remodeling the girls bathroom. They share a bathroom and it is one of the only rooms in the house we have not touched since we moved in and it was time for an update. So, I am looking forward for that to be done & getting everything set up in both the girls rooms and bathrooms.

We attempted to see some changing leaves for a fun family day. It didn’t turn our quite as I imagined but the colors were gorgeous and I’m glad we got to see them before the snow this week.

Baby # 2!!!

We are so excited to share that we are expecting baby #2 in February 2020!!! This was a little bit of a surprise & we couldn’t be more excited. Londyn is also very excited to have a baby and keeps telling us she is going to be the best helper! She does love helping other babies & kids so I can tell already she will be such a good help.

Here is the story on how we told Londyn! I ordered her a “big sis” tee & a big sister book! We gave her both as a gift & told her the news! She was excited but don’t think it hit her right away what that actually means. Now that we regularly talk about baby she definitely is excited & loves to tell people she is going to be a big sister.

This second pregnancy is so different from the first time. I’m 18 weeks & this is the first post I’m doing & have been bad about taking bump pics. I know this is because we have a toddler that keeps us very busy! Also, I was extremely sick in the first trimester and had zero energy to do much. I also have been feeling different this pregnancy, more sick, more headaches, more tired. Mama can’t hang!

We did an early at home gender test at 8 weeks. When we got the results we were both pretty surprised cause we were feeling different than what the results said. We have not told Londyn yet until we have an ultrasound to confirm! Which we have our anatomy scan this week! We can’t wait to see baby & confirm gender and share the results with Londyn & family.

Little update on London since I’ve been slacking on the monthly months for her. She is a sweet sassy toddler who is so smart she surprises us daily with the things she says and does. She started Preschool in August and she is loving going! She goes 2 days a week for 4 hours. She is loving the teachers and her new friends. Mama is also loving a little free time in the mornings before new baby arrives! Londyn loves reading books, anything princess, and dancing & singing.

Here is an update on Baby #2

How far along: 18 Weeks

Gender/Name: We have our anatomy scan this coming Wednesday and can’t wait to see baby & find out the gender for sure.

Weight gain: Seems like a lot but I don’t really know where I started so maybe 5 lbs??

Maternity clothes: Some.. Leggings & jeans occasionally. Some non-maternity still fits me but just aren’t as comfy as maternity leggings. I ordered a few pairs of new maternity jeans so I think I will start wearing those soon. This pregnancy the baby bump popped a lot sooner than last time.

Sleep: Waking randomly around 2- 3 am, mainly to pee. Falling alseep really early & quickly but will wake in the middle of the night.

Best moment this week: Londyn going to school is the highlight of my weeks. Being able to pick her up is so fun and I love hearing about her day and how excited she gets to tell me. We went to the zoo with friends & that was exhausting chasing a toddler around in the heat & being out of breath from being pregnant.

Miss anything: Sushi

Movement: Thought I’ve felt some movement but its not consistent & could be gas lol

Cravings: Bread/Carbs. Anything spicy.

Queasy or sick: Finally feeling better after being sick the entire first trimester. I will still get a little nauseas by certain smells but 100x better than it was.

Current Mood: Ive definitely been feeling more moody,  I think its the lack of sleep.

Belly Button in or out: In.

Looking forward to:  Finding out gender & getting started on the nursery & Londyn’s Big Girl Room.

Week 39!!

img_5432-2

**Sorry I’ve been slacking on weekly posts! I am just SO READY and not a lot changes week to week besides being even more ready! This will *hopefully* be my last bump update post! Once baby is here I will be better about monthly posts all about her!:) Which will be much more fun to read!

How far along: 39 Weeks, Size of a mini Pumpkin! Perfect with Thanksgiving next week;)

Gender/Name: Girl! We will be deciding on her name when we see her!

Weight gain: ~29lbs

Maternity clothes: Over them! I have been shopping for POST baby clothes! I am excited to dress cute again. It’s been hard to feel/look cute with the big bump and only wanting to wear leggings.

Sleep: It’s on & off. I’m trying to get as much sleep as possible but still waking up to pee quite often.

Best moment this week: Nothing in particular, Just anxiously waiting her arrival and spending time with my hubby, we have been going on long walks every afternoon to try and get things moving along!

I got a pedicure, which was probably the best part of the last 2 weeks! It was so relaxing and felt so good to get a long foot massage;)

I also went to the doctor, no progress where labor is concerned. But she did estimate baby’s current weight at 6- 6.5lbs! She thinks she will be around 7-7.5 when she arrives!  I go back to the doctor on Friday for my 40 week appointment and I hope labor is progressing & baby girl plans to come this weekend!!

Miss anything: Counting down till I can have a glass of wine! I’m sure I’ll have a few sips and be passed out. But it’s going to taste so DELISH!

Movement: SOOOO much movement. She is doing flips in there! Well not really, because she is head down and she has “dropped” but she is still kicking like crazy, it hurts occasionally.

Cravings: Pumpkin Muffins! I made some “healthy” muffins and they are actually very good and I can’t stop eating them.

Queasy or sick: Feeling good!

Current Mood: I’ve been a little moody. Mitch did call me out for my out of control Hormones.. I definitely feel like the last week I’ve been a little more moody, grumpy, and emotional. I think I am just anxious for WHEN she is going to be here.

Belly Button in or out: Flat

Looking forward to: Baby Girl’s arrival of course! And the HOLIDAYS! I am 100x more excited for Christmas this year because baby girl will be here. I am excited to decorate, do some fun Xmas activites, seeing Santa, getting our xmas tree, xmas lights, xmas parties, etc!

Had to share a pic of Big Brother Duke! He was watching Daddy take pics and Mitch captured this little handsome boy (He never looks at the camera) And then a picture my mom took of me while we were watching DEER in their neighbors yard!

Week 37!!

img_5393-2

How far along: 37 Weeks, Size of a head of Romaine Lettuce.

Gender/Name: Girl! Still no name!

Maternity clothes: Yes, basically living in maternity leggings! I just rather be comfy at this point.

Sleep: Exhausted! It’s been so hard to get comfortable. I know I’ve said it a few times how it’s so hard, but it only is getting worse.

Best moment this week: Spending time with my Hubby! Since I am currently #unemployed (Thank you, Sports Authority), I have been spending a lot more time with my hubby! It’s been really nice to spend afternoons together. Pretty soon it won’t be just the two of us and we will have a little mini me with us! (Which I can’t wait for) But it has been nice getting quality time together.

Miss anything: Sleeping on my stomach! And just comfy sleeping in general!

Queasy or sick: Feeling good!

Current Mood: Happy

Belly Button in or out: Flat (ish)

Looking forward to:  Not being pregnant anymore and having baby HERE! I know I shouldn’t complain cause we are so blessed! But 9 months is a LONG time to wait!

Week 35!!

img_5378-2

How far along: 35 Weeks, size of a Honey Dew Melon, 30 Days!

Weight gain: ~28lbs- She said I am measuring small.. But I feel HUGE!

Maternity clothes: Yes, not really buying anymore since I am so close to the end!

Sleep: Exhausted, all the time. I can’t seem to get comfortable in any position while sleeping. Between that and peeing every hour, I’m not getting a lot of sleep.

Best moment this week: My doctors appointment today! The doctor did a quick ultrasound to see what position she’s in! She is head down, and it is always so good to see her and hear her heartbeat. Everything at the appointment went great, she said I am on track and could happen anytime.

Miss anything: Sleeping on my stomach! And just comfy sleeping in general!

Movement: Lots of Kicks! She is in a head down curved position, so I keep feeling her butt and her feet!

Cravings: Chicken! I’ve had chicken for the last 3 meals.

Queasy or sick: Feeling good!

Current Mood: Happy most the time! Moody occasionally.

Belly Button in or out: In, kinda getting more flat!

Looking forward to:  Baby Girl being here!! We hit the ONE MONTH LEFT mark and it is definitely becoming real! Just talking to the doctor about contractions and hospital details and talking to Mitch about having our bags ready, and in the car. It’s all so real now! I think the last month is going to drag but we are READY!!!!!

Here are a few pics from last weekend at Top Golf with our friends! I only hit the ball like twice, it was just too hard to move around the belly 😉

Maternity clothes: Yes, not really buying anymore since I am so close to the end!

Sleep: Tired! I haven’t been sleeping well, I have had the worst heartburn! It only seems to happen at night when I’m trying to fall asleep. Tums have been my best friend!

Best moment this week: This weeks blog is covering two weeks since I skipped week 33 (I apologize, It was a busy week). So the best moment of the last two weeks was spending time with my hubby! We went to one of our best friends weddings, which was absolutely gorgeous and so much fun! Mitch was in the wedding so we had a lot of fun activities to attend! Also, this weekend we were able to have a date night which was fun. We are trying to get as many dinner dates in as possible before baby girl comes.. We know they will be few and far between once she is here. We also went to my favorite place, Fort Collins! It was so fun to see the colors changing around campus and to attend one last CSU game at Hughes Stadium! We even stopped at the CSU book store to get baby girl a CSU onesie! She will love them as much as momma:) This week we also attended a Baby Care Class! It was very informative and actually a lot of fun! Mitch learned to swaddle, change a diaper and give a baby bath!

Miss anything: Clothes fitting! I miss being able to weat a cute outfit and have it fit! Fall is my favorite season for cute clothes and I only have so much I can wear that isn’t maternity.

img_5328-2

How far along: 32 Weeks, size of a Jicama. 52 Days!

Gender/Name: Girl! Confirmed again at our ultrasound this week 😉 Just like the reassurance since we have ALL girly things!

Weight gain: ~20lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes! Funny Story… I went to a HS football game this past weekend with some friends and it was FREEZING out. Well my jacket BARELY fit, I used the buttons and not the zipper, I think the zipper wouldn’t have zipped all the way. I may need to get a maternity jacket!

Sleep: So tired all the time. I feel like im getting enough sleep but still get exhausted from small tasks.

Best moment this week: Our ultrasound! We got to see baby girl and found out my placenta issues are gone! So everything looks great and looks right on track. They measured baby and said she weights 4lbs 3oz – that sounds bigger then I was expecting! They also said my due date is measuring closer to November 21st. She said they won’t oficially change it but she could come between the 19th and the 21st! Let’s just hope she comes before Thanksgiving (which in on the 24th) I don’t wanna miss Turkey dinner 😉

Miss anything: Not being exhausted all the time!

Movement: Lots of movement! She is head down, but they said she could move again before due date.

Cravings: Ice Cream! I am having some as I’m typing this 😉

Queasy or sick: Feeling good! Just tired all the time.

Current Mood: Happy!

Belly Button in or out: In, kinda flat!

Looking forward to:  We have a fun and busy weekend ahead so I am looking forward to spending time with Mitch (this is like the first weekend he has off in months). We have our friends wedding on Friday night, which will be so much fun! And then heading to my favorite place, Fort Collins, on Satuday night!

I shared a few Maternity Pics on social media. Here are a few more! We went up to Daniels Park and had my best friend, Katie, take a few pics of us! I didn’t want to spend the money since I know once baby girl is here I will only be hanging pictures of her!
